A Telegram bot for your personal vocabulary

The words you run into finally stick

You look a word up — by tomorrow it's forgotten. You save it to your notes — and never open them again. Stuck in that loop? Jimmy breaks it: send him a word, and he'll bring it back again and again until it sticks.

Sound familiar?

Every way you've tried to keep words has quietly failed you.

The word evaporates

You look up the meaning, get it, keep reading. A few days later you're looking up the same word again.

Notes become graveyards

Words pile up in your notes app and screenshots folder. When did you last open them?

Building cards is a chore

The one method that works is reviewing on a schedule. But making the cards by hand is so much work that you quit.

It's not you. The moment you meet a word and the moment you'd review it are disconnected — and nothing bridges them.

How it works

One word, from where you found it to where it sticks.

Meet a word

In a book, an article, a show, a song — anywhere.

Send it to Jimmy

Forward a sentence, drop a subtitle screenshot, or snap a photo of the page — Jimmy figures out what's worth learning, collocations included.

The word comes back

Jimmy brings it back right before you'd forget it — until it sticks.

A full card from one word

Jimmy builds the card for you: pronunciation, your sentence with the word highlighted, the transcription, an explanation in context, and synonyms — all in one message. Nothing to fill in.

Reminders that train you on the spot

The card comes back on its own — one tap, Yes or No, and the review is done. Not in the mood? Pause reminders any time. They stay on your terms.

See it actually working

Honest numbers, no gloss: how many words you've learned, what's up for review, and where you're headed.

Who it's for

  • You read books and articles or watch shows in English — but not every word lands.
  • You catch yourself looking up the same word — again.
  • You're tired of filling in flashcards — saving a word should take seconds.
  • You want to stay in English — Jimmy explains new words in simple English you already know.

It's not for absolute beginners or for cramming for an exam. If you already read and watch in English, this is your case.

Questions

Is it free?

Yes, Jimmy is free right now. Just open the bot in Telegram and add your first word.

How is this different from flashcards?

Regular flashcards have to be built and filled in by hand. Here the card builds itself from the sentence you send — with audio, a transcription, and an explanation in context.

Why do I add words myself instead of learning ready-made lists?

Ready-made lists are someone else's words: half of them you already know, the other half you'll never use. A word you met yourself is tied to a place and a moment — those stick faster, and they're guaranteed to come up again.

Why send a whole sentence instead of a single word?

The same word means different things in different sentences. Your sentence lets Jimmy explain the exact meaning you ran into — and later train the word in that same real example instead of out of context.

Will the bot flood me with notifications?

No. Reminders only come while they're useful to you — you can pause them any time with one tap, right from a reminder.

What level of English do I need?

Around B1 and up. If you already read or watch things in English, that's enough.
